Dr (Prof.) Navneet Kaur returned to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, where she began her own medical journey as part of the MBBS 1982 batch, to deliver an extension lecture on 24 September 2026.
Speaking on “Aesthetics with Cancer Cure: Modern Paradigm in Management of Breast Cancer,” Dr Kaur discussed how contemporary breast cancer treatment increasingly combines effective cancer control with preservation of body image, confidence, psychosocial well-being, and quality of life.
The session also explored the evolving role of patient-centred care and oncoplastic approaches in breast cancer management, with Dr Kaur interacting with students and colleagues on how modern surgical techniques are reshaping treatment goals and outcomes.
The extension lecture was organised by the Medical Education Unit, JNMC, AMU. Dr Kaur expressed her appreciation to Prof. Mohammad Khalid, Dean; Prof. Anjum Parwaiz, Principal, JNMC; Prof. Tamkin Khan; and the Medical Education Unit for the invitation and thoughtful organisation.
The visit also carried a personal significance for Dr Kaur, with the opportunity to reconnect with former batchmates and return to the institution where her medical career began.
